We have observed several residents parking directly on the pavement and cycle path, and we wish to bring this matter to your attention. This practice not only inconveniences pedestrians and cyclists but also poses significant safety risks.

Under no circumstances should anyone use the pavement or cycle path for driving or parking. Pavement parking endangers pedestrians and cyclists, who may be forced onto the carriageway and into the flow of traffic. This is particularly hazardous for individuals with sight or mobility impairments, those with prams or pushchairs, and those on bicycles.

With Orchard Grove Primary School having opened its doors this September to an infants class and nursery-age children, Egremont Road has become the primary access route for families with young children. Therefore, it is more important than ever to keep the pavement and cycle path clear and safe to use.

May we kindly remind you to use your allocated parking spaces, which each household has. Guests can be directed to the visitor spaces on the main road. We request your consideration and cooperation in this matter to ensure that Orchard Grove remains as safe as possible for our entire community.
