The care home currently under construction at Orchard Grove has been officially named Greenlands Meadow, with plans to open a marketing suite in May 2026.

Greenlands Meadow, part of Amica Care, is being developed within the Orchard Grove community. The brand-new nursing home has been designed with one purpose in mind: to provide outstanding care in a setting that feels like home.

The 68-bedroom facility will offer a comprehensive range of care services across two floors, including residential care, nursing care, dementia care, respite care, day care, and end-of-life care. Carefully designed to combine comfort, safety and a sense of belonging, Greenlands Meadow will offer a warm and welcoming environment where every resident can enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.

Set between the parishes of Comeytrowe and Trull, the home will enjoy far-reaching views of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and glimpses of the Wellington Monument. This peaceful yet well-connected location will provide residents and their families with both tranquillity and convenience, placing Greenlands Meadow at the heart of a vibrant new community.

The facility will feature thoughtfully planned amenities designed to enhance residents’ daily lives, including quiet lounges for rest and reflection, communal spaces for social connection, a dedicated sensory room for dementia care, and a stylish café for family and friends.

Additional features include a multifunction room for activities and cinema screenings, a welcoming hair salon for pampering and self-care, a spa bath for comfort and wellbeing, and beautiful landscaped gardens for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment.

Guided by values of positivity, kindness, honesty, teamwork and joy, life at Greenlands Meadow will be about more than care – it will focus on helping residents thrive. Dedicated nursing and care teams will work closely together to ensure that each person receives personalised support and opportunities for social connection, promoting not only health but overall wellbeing.

While the home is still under construction, Amica Care is preparing to open its marketing suite in May 2026. This will provide the perfect opportunity for families to get a glimpse of what life at Greenlands Meadow will look like once the doors officially open.

Visitors will be able to explore sample layouts and designs, discover the state-of-the-art technologies being introduced, including innovative safety features, and learn more about the wide range of care and amenities on offer. Most importantly, they will have the chance to meet the team, who will be on hand to answer questions about care options, the facilities within the home, and the ethos that makes Amica Care unique.
