FREE DR BIKE EVENT
Is your bicycle in need of some TLC or could do with a safety check?
Good news! Dr Bike will be visiting Orchard Grove on Sunday 24th September to help get your bicycle ready for your next trip. Whether your brake cables have become slack, tyre has a puncture or your chain struggles to change between gears, come along to make use of this free mini service as part of the Orchard Grove Travel Plan to help you get around Taunton.
The event will be held from 10am to 4pm in the Bovis Homes/Linden Homes car park at the entrance of the development. Look out for the gazebo!
GREEN TRAVEL VOUCHERS
Each household in Orchard Grove is given a Green Travel Voucher (GTV) to purchase items that can help you make sustainable travel choices and reduce car use in and around Taunton. For example, you may choose to buy a bike(s), walking shoes, waterproof trousers, motorbike helmet or towards a bus or train monthly/season ticket.
The breakdown and limit of what you can claim in reimbursement is as follows:
- £100 for 1-bedroom dwelling
- £150 for 2-bedroom dwelling
- £200 for 3-bedroom dwelling
- £250 for 4- and 5-bedroom dwelling
GTV’s are a one-off offer but can be claimed over three tenures of each property. If you are in doubt as to whether you are entitled to claim, or need advice, please contact your Travel Plan Coordinator. Claims will require a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase and proof of address.
