June brings another positive picture at Orchard Grove, with the site in good overall order and progressing well across construction, infrastructure and landscaping.
Landscaping continues to develop encouragingly. Highfield Park is establishing strongly, with grass, planting and wildflower growth all coming through as expected. The beehives are active and have already attracted positive feedback from local residents – a welcome sign that the park is beginning to feel like a genuine community space. Landscaping visits are continuing to maintain and improve presentation across the site.
The entrance and Civic Square areas are also showing good signs of establishment, with further planting and landscaping works scoped to bring these areas on. Watering arrangements are being put in place to support growth, and with the official opening celebration planned for this summer, the Civic Square is very much the focus of attention over the coming weeks.
Phase 2 works have now commenced in earnest, with muck shifting operations underway and the site moving into an exciting new phase of delivery. Infrastructure works in the employment land are also progressing well, with footpath and cycleway installation advancing and tarmac scheduled for early June.
Road conditions across the site remain clean and well maintained, with dust levels continuing to reduce thanks to the ongoing road brush operation. The continued dry weather has kept water levels low across basins, ponds and streams, all of which are clean, clear and well maintained. Environmental controls including silt fencing and surface water management are performing well across the site.
Traffic management across the compound continues to be monitored, with signage, markings and gate control measures working effectively to keep vehicles and pedestrians moving safely. The arrangements are a settled and reliable part of day-to-day site management.
Overall, June marks another moment of real visible progress at Orchard Grove, with construction, landscaping and community amenities all moving forward together as the development continues to take shape.
