Work to finish the new junction linking the development to the A38 is drawing to a close. This month sees the finishing touches and inspections being made, followed by the new roundabout officially opening.

The Vistry sales office is set to open to the public, this will join the Taylor Wimpey sales complex on site, and provide a chance to visit the new development and see some of the homes available to buy.

On site, work to construct the pumping station is underway. Through March, work begins to construct the inlet and pump chambers, followed by backfilling and removing the temporary work, and then valve and flowmeter chambers will be installed.

The haul road and earthworks leading to the future primary school will continue. Other important infrastructure work will include setting a second water supply live, continuing landscaping works and removing debris from the industrial estate.

Those living around the perimeter of the site may also notice that a boundary fence to Jeffreys’ Way will be built, and the main spine road – which will run the length of the whole development in time – is continuing up to Comeytrowe Lane.
