March marks the arrival of spring at Orchard Grove, and with it, a renewed focus on the finishing touches that make a real difference to the look and feel of the development. With the weather improving, landscaping work is now getting fully underway across the site.
This month also sees an important new connection open for public use. Public right of way footpath T29/11 is now accessible, linking Higher Comeytrowe Farm Lane through to the development via the bend in the road between Comeytrowe Equestrian Centre and Orchard Cottage. This new route opens up an additional connection for residents and the wider community to enjoy the green spaces surrounding Orchard Grove.
On Merton Road, a concerted push on remedial works is progressing, with teams working through the outstanding tasks to complete this part of the development. In Phase 2, the muck-shift operation has now been completed, clearing the way for earthworks to begin in earnest as the next phase of the community takes shape.
The team has also introduced a daily litter-picking walk across the site, keeping the development clean and welcoming for everyone – particularly important around the times of the weekly rubbish collections when wind-blown litter can be an issue.
