Significant strides forward can be seen on site this month. Work begins to move the main site compound from its current position next to the A38, so that it can make way for the park and bus facility. This is set to bring public transport and sustainable travel options to Orchard Grove.
The spine road running through the development has now been tarmacked all the way to the area that will become Orchard Grove Primary School. Work is also beginning on another key amenity; the development’s first park. The first stage in the creation of Pocket Park will be to create drainage solutions, which will begin imminently.
Elsewhere on site, ducting continues to be installed in preparation for the overhead cables being put in early next year. And demolition has started on the industrial estate, to transform this section of the site ready for construction.
