As the sun shines over Somerset, there will be a focus on site to progress the earthworks. This means removing and transporting topsoil and involves lorries traversing the site for the foreseeable future. You will also continue to see drainage basins being created within this sustainable development.
You can be in no doubt that houses are soon to arrive, with structures taking shape. To ensure these homes have all the services they need from day one, work is ongoing to install cables and necessary services leading to the residential areas.
Bringing a welcome new swathe of green to the site, landscaping work is starting and will see planting take place around what will be the show homes. We are moving closer to homes going on sale and the intention is to open the show homes this Autumn.
The essential road network within Orchard Grove is continuing apace, with the remaining tarmac being laid on the top road within the site. Progress continues on the site-side of the roundabout that will soon become a new junction onto the A38.
