Fencing is being installed all the way along the spine road, to create a barrier from where construction is happening, and the footpaths and road that runs through Orchard Grove down to the new primary school. This is to ensure pedestrians, cyclists and motorists can travel along this route safely.

Tree pits are being created along the spine road too. This year, in a fitting celebration of it being 2024, there will be 24 trees planted along the Spine Road. The vision is to have dozens of trees flanking the road, creating a leafy avenue running through the heart of the community. When the Spine Road is complete, a total of 79 new trees will line the route.

Orchard Grove primary school is being completed and the finished building will be handed over by the contractors to the academy trust and local authority this month.
