A busy month on site at Orchard Grove, soon the work will be finished at the crossing point where Egremont Road – the main spine road through the development – meets Comeytrowe Lane. There will be a ‘stopping up’ order in place along Lipe Hill Lane/Comeytrowe Lane, closing through-access.
Footpath access will be added to the spine road from Comeytrowe Lane, and that work is due to be completed this month. This means those travelling to the new school on foot will have a safe and easy pedestrian route.
The Pocket Park is looking great, with the Spring weather helping the new plants, trees and grasses bed-in and flourish. The Pocket Park will be opened to the public imminently. The improved weather conditions also mean the earthworks can start for Highfield Park.
Towards to top of the site, the Taylor Wimpey site compound is on the move, making way for the enabling works needed prior to the care home being built in this area.
