This month sees even more progress with vital infrastructure work; the essential elements needed to make the new community function well from the start. This includes work on the new roundabout to the A38, which is now reaching its final stage.
On site, work to construct the pumping station is underway. This is a facility that safely transfers foul drainage away from the site, and is necessary to support the new homes being built. It has been designed in accordance with national design guidance to ensure it is reliable and of the highest quality. Through mid to late February, excavation work will begin on this area.
Elsewhere, the temporary haul road leading to the future primary school will continue to be created, and earthworks across the site will carry on. Other activity will be completed, and this includes crossing works at the Galmington Stream and removal of debris from the industrial estate.
