As winter approaches, works are well underway on the first stage of the new roundabout that will become a junction connecting the development to the A38. The second stage will begin at the end of November. This means that westbound traffic will be diverted around one side of the new roundabout, but eastbound traffic will continue as normal. Please be aware of this change if you live locally and travel through the area.

Other work on the road system will see the access road created that will lead to the primary school. Work continues to create the new spine road that will run from the top of the development to the bottom, with construction now crossing the tributary stream.

Vital infrastructure work will continue; the site will go live with electricity and will be connected to the gas and water mains. More drainage basins are being created, forming part of the sustainable urban drainage measures, designed to naturally capture and control rainwater run-off.

We are delighted to introduce more landscaping to Orchard Grove; this is now planting season and more trees are being planted. Fences are being installed along the boundary with Jefferies Way. Earthworks around the site will continue, as the weather allows. You may also notice that the team will be removing rubbish and materials from the old industrial estate.

The site will close for the Christmas period, shutting on 17th December and reopening on 4th January.
