Work continues to progress steadily across Orchard Grove this October, with several key developments taking place throughout the site.
Construction and landscaping of the new civic square continues to advance, marking an important milestone in the development of this central community area. Meanwhile, significant activity is underway in the employment land area, where works have commenced on infrastructure development. This includes moving material to other areas of the site as preparation continues for future phases.
Seeding works are continuing across the development as and when weather conditions permit, building on the re-seeding programme that began in September at Manor Park and Highfield Park.
Teams are also preparing areas ready for tree planting to replace some of the trees that were affected by the exceptionally dry summer weather. This preparatory work will enable replacement planting to commence in November during the optimal autumn planting season, ensuring the long-term success of the development’s green infrastructure.
