As we head towards autumn, work continues on the Pocket Park, with the play equipment expected to be delivered later this month. While unfortunately there have been some delays to the completion and opening of this area, work is well underway and nearing the final stages.

The new primary school is progressing well. All the services needed for the school to function have now been installed right up to the school site.

Over on the old industrial estate, work begins on the sub-structure of a ‘bat barn’ to safeguard the local bat population and offer a new habitat before the old buildings are demolished.

Ecology is front of mind across the site; looking ahead to the upcoming tree planting season, the team is digging tree pits ready to welcome some new additions to the Orchard Grove landscape.

Elsewhere on site, the final overhead power lines will be dropped, and work continues on a second road linking future areas of housing to the stream culvert crossing point.
