As a new school year starts this September, Orchard Grove primary will open its doors for the first time. The site team is busy putting the finishing touches to the land around the school site, including the road surface on the spine road.

Another exciting step forward for Orchard Grove, work is set to start later this month on the park and bus area. This will become a transport hub, helping to connect the development to Taunton and the surrounding area. Also helping to improve public transport links, a bus stop is being installed this month by the roundabout.

Work is continuing on the community’s public open spaces. The current phase of landscaping in Highfield Park is coming to an end, with a footpath being created from Jeffrey’s Way down into the development. The next green space to be developed will be Manor Park and activity is set to begin there imminently.

Also taking place this month, work is due to begin on the emplyment land at the top of the site. Plus the Vistry site compound is set to move from its current location – near the Pocket Park – to an area further into the development.
